On the night of her marriage Madhavi runs away to meet her lover only to discover that she has been backing a wrong person. Before death she requests Madhavi to travel to Nainital with the child and present herself ad Punam to the parents of her late husband, who have not so far met her. To keep the promise given to the dead friend Madhavi starts for Nainital and meets the same person Kamal who came to marry her. The real story now beings. Madhavi's unfettered live swims in the occasion of uncertainties and atmosphere surcharged with emotions, love, hatred, and disappointments.
